1. Latonya Haggerty, 26, 1973-1999. LaTanya was a passenger in a car pulled over by Chicago police on June 4 1999 when an officer shot her thinking she was holding a gun, but she was talking on her phone and was unarmed.

How many more bodies?

  1. Sean Bell, 23, 1983-2006. Sean was supposed to be married the morning after his tragic death when he was with his two friends behind the wheel in the parking lot of his bachelor party.

How high does the body count have to be?

  • Ramarley Graham, 18, 1994-2012. Graham was a teenager when the police entered his Bronx apartment without a warrant and shot him inside a bathroom on February 2nd 2012. Cameras showed Graham walking into the building then police officers kicking the door down, then they ran upstairs to Graham’s apartment and one police officer shot him in the chest. The officer said that he thought he was armed but later on it was found that  there was no weapon.

How many more names?

  • Eric Garner, 43, 1971-2014. Garner died after a police officer in Staten Island, N.Y., placed him in an illegal choke hold during an encounter on the sidewalk, where police said Garner was selling cigarettes. The officer there was stripped of his gun and badge, but was not charged with a crime.

You have to be really ignorant to think this is not a problem. Fear is not an excuse of the death of an innocent man woman or child. The next time you say that it was just an accident I want you to look up all the names of the black victims of police brutality and then try to tell me “it was just an accident”.
